I have worn eyelashes before, but I did not have any reactions. I believe you have to be careful with the cleanliness of the products/instruments being place near/in your eyes.

I have had extentions and the nail shop version. Did not have a glue reaction with either process.

If using traditional lashes (strip or individuals) and lash glue, a big concern would be if someone has an allergy to latex. The majority of the glues have latex. Ardell makes a latex-free adhesive, and lashes like the Revlon Fantasy Lengths Self-Adhesive lashes are strong enough not to need another adhesive. You can get those items here. Otherwise, the only other dangers would be due to cleanliness, such as leaving lashes on too long, or re-using them without cleaning them.

I cannot say if there is an immediate effect, but overtime, the number of lashes present seems to diminish.
